CCBC suits gay men who want a big, sociable resort with a bar, events and playrooms, especially on weekends, and who are happy to drive into Palm Springs. It suits nobody looking for a quiet boutique stay. Recent reviews also suggest weekdays can feel empty. For calm, look at Vista Grande or The Hacienda in Warm Sands.
Who it’s for
CCBC calls itself “California’s largest clothing option gay men’s resort.” Everyone must be 21 or older and show a valid physical government-issued photo ID, and room guests wear resort wristbands to get back in.
The property is for registered guests only. Day visitors are admitted on a pass, which also means registering with ID.
Facilities, as the resort lists them:
- a pool, two spas and a waterfall;
- a steam room and playrooms;
- Runway, an on-site bar and restaurant;
- poolside events and live entertainment on select dates.
Posting photos or videos that show anyone outside your own party is prohibited.

What recent guests say
Few resorts here divide guests like this one. Tripadvisor showed 186 reviews averaging 3.4 in October 2026: 72 excellent, 26 good, 28 average, 18 poor and 42 terrible.
The four most recent reviews, from March to June 2026, were three five-star and one one-star:
- Praise: a clean, well-kept, recently remodeled property, friendly staff, and a sense of community among regulars.
- The one-star review: a weekday stay was booked under a “only one room left” prompt and found a nearly empty resort.
- A two-star review from July 2025: it called the remodel “a real improvement” but complained of high weekday prices, a visitor fee and a quiet night-time crowd.
The pattern is consistent: the experience depends heavily on whether an event or busy weekend is on. Check the events calendar for your dates.
How it compares
Choose Casa Oliver instead for an event-driven men’s resort you can walk from to Arenas Road (about 0.7 miles). Choose Vista Grande or INNdulge for a social Warm Sands pool without the drive. Choose The Hacienda if what you want is quiet service. All of them are compared in the Palm Springs gay resorts guide.
