Sea Mountain suits couples who specifically want a lifestyle resort: nude mineral pools, themed evenings and an adult social scene. Couples looking for traditional, non-sexual naturism should choose Mi Kasa or Glen Eden instead. Single men are not admitted.
Who is admitted
The resort’s pages do not say quite the same thing. Its clothing page says it is “available for single women and couples only.” Its day-visit page sells “One Woman” packages for women coming alone. Its policies page, however, says “We are a couples only resort.” Single men are not mentioned anywhere.
Under the policies page, no one under 21 is allowed on the grounds. Every guest must buy a membership: the policies page says $20 per person for one year, while the rates page describes $20 for six months. Membership involves signing a contract on the first visit.
Clothing and atmosphere
- Pool and whirlpools: nudity is expected. The resort says there is “no bathing attire in our pool and whirlpools except for special events.”
- Other areas: a towel, wrap or sarong is fine.
- Evenings: “lingerie and less.”
The site calls itself a Lifestyles Hotel and advertises themed events and pool parties. It describes a more social, drinks-and-dancing atmosphere than a quiet nudist resort. The mineral-water pool, whirlpool and lounge are open 24 hours, and there is a cedar sauna.
Rooms, rates and terms
The accommodations page lists 15 rooms, all with private bathrooms, in three categories:
- Seven Zens: from $269 a night.
- Buddha Gardens: from $499 a night.
- Highland Suite: from $499 a night, with the only second-floor porch and balcony.
All three go up to $1,599 for one or two guests. Additional guests are $199–250 each.
Packages include breakfast, and some include a daily lunch. Beverages are listed as complimentary.
- Weekend minimum: two nights.
- Resort fee and parking: no resort fee; parking is free. Children and pets are not allowed.
- Cancellation: a $100-per-night fee applies at any time, and cancellations within seven days are charged in full.
Day visits
Non-guests can book day passes, which the resort says run from 10:30 am to 5 or 5:30 pm and include lunch and beverages:
- Couples’ VIP passes: from $99 per couple.
- “One Woman” day visit: from $79.
Weeknight evening spa sessions run from 2 to 10 pm, though the policies page says there is no admission after 9 pm. Prices vary for special events, with ranges listed up to $1,599.
Where it is
The address is 66540 San Marcus Road in Desert Hot Springs, about 11 miles north of downtown Palm Springs in a straight line. You need a car or a ride. The resort says detailed directions are sent after booking.
What recent guests say
Tripadvisor showed 450 reviews averaging 4.5 in October 2026: 336 excellent, 61 good, 18 average, 15 poor and 20 terrible. Recent volume is low. Only three of the ten newest reviews are from 2025 or 2026; the rest date from 2024.
Positive reviews repeatedly mention:
- friendly staff;
- cleanliness;
- a relaxed, safe-feeling environment for couples.
The critical ones, all from 2024, said:
- overnight prices were high for the facilities;
- the food was basic;
- the experience did not match the website, including how the clothing rules were applied.
How it compares
Choose Mi Kasa instead for a clothing-optional hot-springs stay with no lifestyle element. Mi Kasa admits all adults over 21 and does not permit public sexual activity. Choose Exotic Dreams for a lifestyle resort in Palm Springs itself. For a resort-style trip abroad, compare Desire and Temptation in Mexico. All the nearby couples’ options are compared in the couples guide.
