Mi Kasa Hot Springs

Mi Kasa suits couples, friends and solo travelers of any gender who want clothing-optional mineral water without a lifestyle scene. It is the lowest-pressure first step for couples new to clothing-optional travel near Palm Springs. It does not suit anyone looking for nightlife or an on-site restaurant.

Who it’s for, and the rules

Mi Kasa calls itself a “21+ adults-only sanctuary” and doesn’t restrict guests by gender or couple status. Clothing is optional throughout. The conduct rule is unusually direct: “Mi Kasa Hot Springs is NOT a SWINGERS or EXHIBITIONISM ‘Outdoor Play’ type of property. Public sexual activity of any kind is not permitted.”

That is the main difference from Sea Mountain Inn, a few minutes away.

The water

• Natural hot springs pool: about 95°F in winter and up to 87°F in summer.
• Indoor jacuzzi: 103°F.
• Outdoor jacuzzi: 100°F.
• Outdoor tub: set by the guest, from 90 to 115°F.

Overnight guests get 24-hour access to the springs. Recent reviewers add that there is a cold plunge.

Staying here

• Rooms: “creative concept rooms.” The site doesn’t publish a room count.
• Kitchen: a 24-hour communal kitchen, plus an outdoor shower, hammocks and fire pits.
• Dogs: allowed, with an on-site dog park. Pets must be leashed in shared areas and kept out of the water and off the beds.
• Check-in: contactless, with entry codes sent ahead, according to recent reviewers.
• Contact: the phone and text line runs from 9 am to 10 pm.

Rates appear only in the booking engine.

Day passes and private tubs

Non-guests can buy a day pass for 9 am to 10 pm. It is single entry only, with no coming and going. Outside food and drinks are allowed.

Where it is

The address is 11076 Ocotillo Road in Desert Hot Springs, about 11 miles north of downtown Palm Springs in a straight line. You need a car or a ride, and should eat in town or use the kitchen.

What recent guests say

The resort’s site showed 512 Google reviews in October 2026. On Yelp, it had 4.8 from 151 reviews.

We read the ten most recent Yelp reviews, from July 10 to October 8, 2026: eight five-star and two four-star. Guests consistently praised:

• cleanliness;
• the peaceful atmosphere;
• the natural spring pool and night-time hot tubs;
• easy self check-in.

The one specific complaint was a DJ hired for the Fourth of July weekend whose music was “way too loud for the atmosphere.” That reviewer took it to be a one-off; check for holiday events if you want quiet.
