California nudist resorts: which are still open
Several guides still list resorts that have gone clothed or are in doubt. We checked each club's own site and local reporting: three are open, one changed in 2023, and one we couldn't confirm.

Quick answer
Three we could confirm, one gone clothed, one unclear
Of the landed nudist resorts that California travel lists still name, we could confirm three as open and nude on their own current pages: Lupin Lodge in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Laguna del Sol near Sacramento and Glen Eden in Riverside County. DeAnza Springs near the Mexican border stopped being clothing-optional in 2023, although its own FAQ still uses the old wording. Olive Dell Ranch in Colton is unclear: its website still describes a nudist resort, but its pages carry no recent dates and a 2024 trade report said it was going clothed. Call before you drive to either.

For a couple
What a first weekday visit costs two adults
The clubs price day visits differently, so the headline numbers don’t compare directly. For two adults on a weekday:
- Glen Eden: $86 ($23 entry plus the $20 background check, each), and only on a booked tour from Thursday to Sunday, which rules out a Monday-to-Wednesday visit.
- Laguna del Sol: $84 ($42 each).
- Lupin Lodge: $65 for the couple, the lowest of the three. A single adult pays $38, more than half the couple price.
Lupin and Laguna del Sol both cut the day fee for members of the national naturist organizations (AANR, TNS and others): $35 weekday or $45 weekend at Lupin, $34 at Laguna del Sol. If you plan more than a few visits to one club a year, its own membership is cheaper: Laguna del Sol’s Associate membership brings the day fee down to $20 per person.
Confirmed open
The three clubs, and who each suits
Lupin Lodge is the one to visit soon if you want to see it. It calls itself a woman-owned clothing-optional resort with a restaurant, weekend nude yoga and an events calendar running into November. The 112-acre property was put on the market for nearly $30 million in December 2024, and the trade report on the listing expected a buyer to end the nudist policy. Its site carried no sale or closure notice when we checked. Admission prices were last updated in June 2026. Source: Lupin admission fees; RVBusiness, December 30, 2024.
Laguna del Sol is the largest at 250 acres and the plainest about who is welcome: singles, couples and families. A day visit is $42 a person with no booking requirement stated on the rates page, and membership is optional rather than a condition of returning. Source: Laguna del Sol rates.
Glen Eden is the strictest first visit of the three, with a booked tour and a background check, and the most established, with AANR accreditation. Our Glen Eden profile has its rental and RV rates.

DeAnza Springs and Olive Dell: what changed
DeAnza Springs told residents in August 2023 that it would become a “textile” park, meaning clothes required. Its plan required clothing in common areas such as the pool and trails from September 1, 2023, and banned nudity throughout the property, including privately leased sites, from October 1. A co-owner told East County Magazine that the clothing-optional model “was not a sustainable option.” Its website’s FAQ, footer-dated 2022, still talks about clothing-optional visits, which is likely why some guides still list it. Source: East County Magazine, August 3, 2023.
Olive Dell Ranch still presents itself as “Southern California’s favorite nudist resort for families, singles and couples,” with nudity required at the pool and in the clubhouse. But the site’s copyright reads 2009 and its event dates have no year, and the same December 2024 RVBusiness report described Olive Dell as going clothed. We couldn’t settle the conflict, so we haven’t listed it as open. Source: Olive Dell Ranch.
If none of these fit
Other ways to go nude in California
For a soak rather than a club, the California hot springs comparison covers Harbin, Wilbur, Orr and Sierra Hot Springs, which allow nudity in their pools and admit families. Couples and adults near Palm Springs have the Desert Hot Springs resorts, though two of the three limit who can visit. The Palm Springs closures timeline explains why the city itself no longer has a couples’ naturist resort.
We left out the Sequoians in Castro Valley because its site wouldn’t load for us, and non-landed clubs that meet at rented venues, which don’t take day visitors in the same way.
